About Lara

Lara Hudson is a Pilates Method Alliance Gold Certified Master Instructor with nearly 20 years of teaching experience. She is an internationally recognized star and choreographer of 8 award-winning DVD’s, a national magazine cover model, and a health & fitness television news correspondent. Lara created the highly reputed Mercury Fitness High Performance Pilates Certification Program in 2010, combining the strongest concepts and vocabulary from both the Classical Method and West Coast style of Pilates into one dynamic, fully comprehensive Teacher Training Course.


Lara is the founder and creator of The Mercury Method, her signature series of transformational temperature-charged workouts combining the best elements of Pilates, yoga and strength training. She is also a certified Health Coach and holds additional certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.


Lara has graced the covers of FIT Yoga and PilatesStyle Magazine, and has written articles for SHAPE, SELF, Prevention, Women’s Health and USA Today. She is a current contributor to MindBodyGreen, writing articles on the subjects of fitness, nutrition and body image.


Lara graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Theater Department at the University of California, Los Angeles, spent 5 years as a performing member of the critically acclaimed dance company Diavolo, and has worked as an instructor and choreographer at UCLA, Loyola Marymount University and performing arts programs throughout the country.
